<description>This seemed to be the Holy Grail I had been searching for....

(Background)

You see, I want a way to get H.264 video out of my .mkv files and put them in a .mp4 container when needs be, without having to re-encode the whole thing. mkvextract lets me get the files out, and MP4Box lets me make an mp4 container and put them in. But because the output display size is in the held in the .mkv container and not the file itself, the file plays on a ratio of 1.5:1.

So now..

When I open it with Dumpster, I can get to the video trak header (tkhd) just fine, and can change the width to what it should be. But the new value doesnt get saved. I can change and save other things like the Matrix, but not the width.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks
